Pulmonology Health Inclusion and Diversity

Diversity and equality for faculty and trainees is critical among American Thoracic Society members worldwide.

Pulmonology experts from Penn Medicine, Stanford University, Yale, Johns Hopkins Medicine, and others, discuss how diversity is paramount to providing the best care within the communities they serve.

“We have to make the structural adjustments so that we fuel and populate our own pipelines,” said Enid Neptune, MD, associate professor of medicine, John Hopkins School of Medicine.

“The ATS as a society, has taken major steps to play a role in helping eliminate disparities through increasing health equity, diversity, and inclusion,” according to Juan Celedon, MD, Immediate Past President, American Thoracic Society.
